Chore Time. I collected Parker from the neighbor's house, where he was about to go swimming for the second time of the day. Of course the standard tears started. "I was about to go swimming, and now I have to do chores, and it will take forever, and I'll never get to go play at Jacob's again, and MY LIFE WILL BE RUINED."
McKay: "I don't like chores, either. I don't like things that take forever."

Seriously my kids say those same exact words, it drives me crazy!!
My kids always say that, too. Of course as they are saying that chores will take forever they are sitting on the floor complaining so the only thing I can do is to agree with them.
I don't like things that take forever either-ESPECIALLY chores! They are a neccessary evil and I certianly won't miss scrubbing toilets or doing laundry in the afterlife...
Wasn't it just a week ago that his life was going to be ruined if he had to go to swimming lessons?
Chores are a right of passage. My older ones don't complain to much anymore unless I ask them to do something out of the ordinary.
